Privacy Policy
Who Called Pest Control (the "Game") is made by Don Bytyqi (the "Developer"). The short version: the Game does not collect your personal data, has no account system, no advertising and no third-party analytics. What it stores, it stores on your device and in your own iCloud. The details follow.
What the Game stores on your device
- Your save file: progress (jobs finished, levels, cash, gear, uniforms, achievements earned), settings (sound, music, auto-aim, screen shake) and whether you own the full-game unlock. It lives in the app's private storage and is deleted when you delete the Game.
- Gameplay events such as "job finished" or "weapon bought" are written to the device's local system log only, to help balance the game. They never leave your device and the Developer has no way to read them remotely.
iCloud
If iCloud is enabled on your device, the Game mirrors your save file to your personal iCloud account through Apple's key-value storage so your progress follows you between your iPhone and iPad. This data belongs to your Apple ID. The Developer cannot access it. You can turn it off for the Game in iOS Settings under your Apple ID, iCloud, and delete the stored copy there.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the Game reports achievements and leaderboard scores (payout, overtime, Night Shift and Endless times) to Apple under your Game Center player name. Apple handles this data under its own privacy policy. The Developer receives no personal information from Game Center. You can sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings at any time; the Game works without it.
In-app purchase
The Game offers one in-app purchase, a non-consumable unlock of every job past the free ones. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. The Developer never sees your payment details. The Game checks with Apple whether the unlock is owned and keeps that fact in your save file; "Restore Purchases" asks Apple again.
What the Game does not do
- It does not ask you to create an account or give your name, email, location or contacts.
- It does not contain advertising or advertising SDKs.
- It does not use third-party analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs, and it does not request permission to track you across apps or websites.
- It does not use the camera, microphone, photos or location.
- It does not connect to any server run by the Developer.
Children
The Game is rated for ages 12 and up on the App Store for cartoon violence and mild horror themes. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Apple
App Store downloads, purchases, Game Center and iCloud are provided by Apple Inc. and are covered by Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy. Apple may share aggregated, anonymous statistics about downloads and crashes with the Developer; these contain no personal information.
Changes
If the Game ever starts collecting data (for example, if an online feature is added), this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
